Rotary members in Merritt are taking action on World Polio Day to raise awareness, funds, and support to end polio, a vaccine-preventable disease that still threatens children in parts of the world today.
Members of the local Rotary club will gather at the corner of Nicola Avenue and Voght Street at 7:30 Thursday morning to wave signs and to make the people of the Nicola Valley aware of the on-going efforts to rid the whole world of Polio.
