Join Art Walk Artist Joan Jennings at the Civic Centre for an Art Walk Meet & Greet. She is there to talk about her work, answer questions and more. 

Joan Jennings is a mixed media art quilter who loves to experiment with surface design variations. Her recent work is strongly influenced by photos of desert cacti and flower shots during her winters in Arizona. The Civic Centre is an excellent spot to feature her work and we hope you will stop by say hi and check out her work.

Tuesday, July 11 – Active Story Time 

Each session is centered around a children’s story book followed with physical activities based on the storyline.

The activities encourage the development of movement skills, improvisation and creativity.

Happening every Tuesday evening throughout July and August 6:30pm-8:30pm. We encourage you to bring your own lawn chairs for seating.

Go on a spooky investigation with a crew of paranormal experts at the baillie house on july 14th! (snacks provided)

Arrive at the Baillie House at 9:00pm, just as twilight starts to arrive, and gear up for a full on paranormal experience with the crew of a brand new TV show bent on investigating the mysterious! All the equipment is included, all you have to do is muster some courage from 9:30-11:30pm! Snacks will be provided by the Nicola Valley Heritage Society after the event.

Only 20 tickets are available so it’s first come first serve!! Tickets are sold at the Baillie House (2202 Voght Street). Come back on July 15th and been interviewed about your supernatural encounters for the host’s show. We hope to see you there!

BC Ambassadors Pageant will take place at the Merritt High School on July 21& 22 at 6:00pm. 

The British Columbia Ambassador Program is open to young men or women who have held an Ambassador or a Royal title in British Columbia. Candidates must be 17 years old and not over the age of 24 by December 31, 2017. The 2017 British Columbia Ambassador Program will be held in Merritt, BC from July 19-22 with public performances on Friday, July 21 & Saturday, July 22, 2017.
